Hooray! The dinosaur painting is finally finished! Overall, I am quite pleased with how it turned out. The next step is to take it to Michael's for framing.
I was born and raised near Milwaukee, WI. Art was always an important part of my life, and when I decided to enter college at UW Oshkosh, I majored in Art Education, with the guidance from my father, who is also a teacher. I taught art at the elementary level for 3 years before receiving a lay off from the last WI school I worked in. Completely devastating! I met my husband, Bill, on Match.com. a year before. We were married in July 2005 and promptly moved to Florida in hopes of better job prospects for both of us. I secured a position as an elementary art teacher, and he (in the next year) as a sheriff deputy for the county we live in. I eventually completed requirements to be certified in elementary education grades preK - 3. The following year I became a 2nd grade teacher. Currently, I am teaching 1st grade, along with being the team leader for my primary group.
Finally, in July of 2008, Bill and I decided it was time to begin building a family. I found out I was pregnant with our first baby at the end of July. Our family also includes a weimaraner, Mercury, and a hairless cat, Meow Meow.
